From 15 to 24 October 2027, the world’s best nations will face off in three rounds across 12 host venues during the IKF World Korfball Championship. The first two rounds will take place throughout the country, while the semi-finals and final will be held at Rotterdam Ahoy. More information about the schedule will follow soon.

ROTTERDAM
Rotterdam is raw, international, and full of energy. A city with character, where sport runs deep in the DNA and brings people from all backgrounds together. With its open-minded spirit and can-do mentality, Rotterdam is a natural home for top-level sport, talent, and fans.
Korfball thrives in Rotterdam and the surrounding region. With more than 30 clubs and around 12,000 members, the sport plays an important role here. As a partner of the Royal Dutch Korfball Association (KNKV) and host venue of events like the Korfbal League Final and the Korfbal Challenge at Rotterdam Ahoy, the city shows every year just how strong its connection to korfball is.
That Rotterdam is once again hosting the IKF World Korfball Championship in 2027, just like in 2003, fits perfectly. At Rotterdam Ahoy, sport, energy, and international encounters come together.
'S-HERTOGENBOSCH (DEN BOSCH)

During the IKF World Korfball Championship, the matches will be held at Maaspoort Den Bosch: a versatile sports and event venue with room for thousands of fans. The atmosphere is intense, and the action can be experienced up close – perfect for top-level korfball.
Den Bosch provides the backdrop for international top-level matches and welcomes teams and fans in a unique and atmospheric setting.
BrabantSport supports the World Korfball Championship in Den Bosch and contributes to strengthening sport in the Brabant region.
RIDDERKERK
Ridderkerk is a green and welcoming municipality just outside Rotterdam. With its historic center and natural areas like De Gorzen and the Crezéepolder, Ridderkerk offers a perfect balance between village tranquility and urban accessibility.
During the IKF World Korfball Championship, the matches will take place at Sporthal De Wissel: a modern sports hall and home to KCR, one of the larger korfball clubs in the Netherlands. Here, sport and community come together, and you can enjoy the matches in a warm and friendly club atmosphere.
Ridderkerk is known for its strong club culture and engaged community, where korfball plays an important role and visitors feel immediately welcome.
ZAANSTAD
Zaanstad is a unique place where history and sport come together. The region is known for its iconic windmills, green wooden houses, the annual Dam tot Dam Run, and typical Dutch products.
During the World Korfball Championship, the matches will be played at Topsportcentrum De Koog, a modern sports venue where top-level korfball and experience take center stage. The facility offers a dynamic atmosphere, good amenities, and excellent accessibility.

HOOGEVEEN
Hoogeveen is a sporty and welcoming city in the heart of Drenthe. With a compact town center, cozy cafés, and nature close by, the city has everything athletes and fans need. Korfball thrives here and enjoys a strong tradition in Hoogeveen.
During the IKF World Korfball Championship, the matches will be held at Het Activum: a modern sports and events complex where the energy between the field and the stands is tangible. This creates a lively atmosphere and thrilling matches you can experience up close.

EMMEN
Welcome to Emmen: a city where space, nature, and energy come together. With lively terraces, WILDLANDS around the corner, and plenty of green routes, Emmen is a host venue full of character – welcoming, down-to-earth, and always on the move.
During the IKF World Korfball Championship, matches will be held at Sporthal Angelslo: a familiar sports venue where athletes can perform at their best and fans can experience the action up close. You can feel it in the atmosphere, the excitement, and the energy of every match.
In Emmen, korfball, fans, and local energy come together – a place where visitors immediately feel welcome during the tournament.
EDE (BENNEKOM)
Welcome to Bennekom, part of the municipality of Ede: a green and lively village on the edge of the Veluwe. The area is known for its expansive nature, heathlands, rich military history, and numerous cultural hotspots.
During the IKF World Korfball Championship, the matches will be held at DVO/Transus: a modern top sports complex with two halls, excellent facilities, and a warm club atmosphere. Here, you can watch the games up close and truly feel the intensity of the action.
Ede looks forward to welcoming korfball fans and teams, giving visitors the chance to discover the sport, and enjoying top-level korfball together.
ALMELO
Almelo is a city in Twente, known for its down-to-earth character, surrounded by green landscapes and rich history. The city buzzes with sport, culture, and hospitality, making it the perfect host venue for the IKF World Korfball Championship.
The matches take place at IISPA, a modern sports complex with spacious facilities and a lively atmosphere. Athletes can perform at their best, while fans experience the games up close.

GORREDIJK

During the IKF World Korfball Championship, matches will be played at Sportcentrum Kortezwaag. This venue is known for its compact and engaged atmosphere, with spectators seated close to the court – perfect for experiencing the intensity and excitement of korfball.

DRACHTEN
The municipality of Smallingerland, with Drachten as its largest town, is known for its vibrant character and strong sporting culture. The combination of urban amenities and an open, accessible atmosphere makes this Frisian region attractive to visitors and sports enthusiasts.
During the World Korfball Championship, matches will be played at Snij Noord Hall. This modern sports venue offers excellent facilities and, together with the strong local korfball tradition, provides a solid foundation for top-level competition.
With its engaged community and passion for sport, Smallingerland offers a welcoming and energetic setting for international korfball action. Here, sporting experience and Frisian hospitality come together.
DUIVEN
De Liemers is a green and water-rich region in Gelderland. The municipalities of Doesburg, Duiven, Westervoort and Zevenaar are jointly hosting the IKF World Korfball Championship. With an abundance of sports fields, playgrounds and recreational areas, the region perfectly matches the experience and energy of the tournament.
Doesburg – A historic Hanseatic town on the River IJssel, known for its charming historic centre and rich cultural life.
Duiven – A modern and easily accessible municipality along the A12, with a strong community spirit and excellent sports facilities.
Westervoort – A compact, green municipality located at the junction of the Rhine and IJssel rivers, surrounded by nature and well connected to Arnhem.
Zevenaar – A diverse municipality made up of twelve villages, set in a green and water-rich landscape and strategically located between Arnhem and Germany.
The preliminary rounds of the World Championship will take place at Sportcentrum Triominos in Duiven, the municipality’s largest indoor sports venue.
